Think about books, movies, songs that have made an impression on you, perhaps something that influenced your creative thinking and making.
Think about the date when this work was made. Think about when you first discovered it.

Books

The Book of Mormon
*reading the entire Book of Mormon for the first time, cover to cover helped me to realise that everything i was taught at Church from a young age was true. Realising that i believed that it was indeed another testament of Jesus Christ because i had read it for my self and received a personal witness. Own testimony, not a borrowed one.
The Bible

Twilight Series/ Hunger Games/ The Mortal Instruments
*weirded out my friends and family when i started reading all day every day. Apparently poly girls aren't supposed to be book worms. Breaking out of the typical Polynesian stereotype.
Became on of those "The book is better than the movie!" people.

Movies

Disney
*Disney has always been an influence. Whether you want to or not, you always find yourself singing along to the catchy songs or getting too involved with the storyline, no matter what age you are.
Philippino Movies
*watching 4hour long dvds of filipino tv series with english subtitles became the new obsession. Watching them long into the early hours of the day. Watching them when i was supposed to be studying for exams. Talking about them with friends when i wasn't watching them. Learnt and used popular sayings in Tagalog.

Songs

Hymns
*Doctrine and Covenants 25: 12
For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads"
Ed Sheeran
*Fell in love with Ed Sheeran's voice and songs. Weirded out my family and friends again when i started listening to 'white' music. Apparently poly girls only listen to Hip Hop, RnB and Island songs. Some of my friends shied away from my playlist whenever the question 'who wants to play music' was asked. zzzz....CARE.
